You can deposit cash or check to your organization's RCO account at the AS Cashiers and Ticket Office. Funds deposited into your organization's RCO account roll over from year to year, similar to a bank account. *Note: This service is being phased out by SEAL in June 2022.
To make a deposit:
$
Ensure that all checks to your organization are made out to "UCSB Office of Student Life" with your organization's full name printed in the memo line.
$
Prior to going to the cashier, add up the total of your deposit. List cash and checks separately. It is a best practice to keep a list of checks you deposit for your records. Download our deposit worksheet template (xlsx) to record individual checks, especially if you have more than will fit on a single deposit slip (6).
$
At the A.S. cashier's window, you will be asked to endorse the checks with the name as it is written on the front of the check and your own signature.
$
You will NOT NEED an account number, just be sure to write out the full name of your organization.
$
The cashier will give you a copy of the deposit slip and send a copy to SEAL, where the deposit will be credited to your RCO account. Make sure the cashier's total matches your own and that your organization's full name is legible on the deposit slip. Give your copy of the deposit slip to your organization's treasurer for their records.
Sample Deposit Slip

A complete deposit slip includes:
- The name and phone number of the individual making the deposit
- The organization name and account number
- Separate line items for cash (paper) and coin currency
- Individual listing of checks including check number, payer's name, and amount
- Verified total, date, and cashier's initials
